No conto da Cinderela, o seu famoso sapato de cristal se tornou parte de uma das versões deste conto para dar um final feliz a protagonista, que nem sempre vivenciou algo do tipo. A história da Cinderela é bem antiga, versões deste conto foram encontrados na China antiga antes de Cristo, contudo as versões de Perrault, dos Grimm e da Disney são as mais conhecidas e famosas. A Cinderela também pode ser encontrada sob o nome de a Gata Borralheira, a qual narra a história de uma jovem e bonita mulher sofredora que procura a felicidade.
